The choice between DACs, AOCs and Transceivers ultimately depends on the specific requirements of the network deployment. DACs and AOCs can be a good choice where power budget or latency are factors. They are also easier to configure and can save space in a crowded rack environment such as a Data Centre. Transceivers are a better choice in a mixed application environment, making them more flexible. They are also used where longer transmission distances are required: Up to 10Km range is available in our selection.  Transceivers are easily replaced, better supporting scalability, and can offer an simpler upgrade path.  DACs, AOCs and Transceivers are supplied MSA compatible or in multi-vendor types. Samples are available f.o.c. 

HSI Centre offer a range of commonly used configurations including 1G, 10G, 25G, 40G and 100G transmission rates with SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+ and QSFP28 footprints, compatible with the most common network hardware vendors.
